Voice Access Line

Getting Started

  1. Call VAL in Metropolitan Phoenix at (602) 271-0322 or outside the (602) area code 1-800-352-5458
  2. Val offers services in two languages, English and Spanish. Select 1 for English and 2 for Spanish.
  3. Enter your SunWest Federal Credit Union member number, followed by the # sign.
  4. Enter your VAL access code (NOTE - for all new members, this access code will be the last four digits of the primary members social security number -- please change your access code by selecting 3 – (New Member Number & Other Activities ) from the primary menu and then select 4 – (To change your access code). Enter an access code of your choice between 4 and 8 digits in length.

Helpful Information

  1. You must call from a touch tone phone.
  2. You don’t have to wait for the entire menu to complete before entering your menu selection.
  3. Enter dollar amounts with no decimals -- $100.00 is entered as 10000.
  4. Press * at any time to back up one menu level.
  5. All check withdrawals will be mailed to the address on record the following business day.
  6. Press 8 to move forward five (5) items in history.
  7. Press 9 to repeat the last response.
  8. Transfers can be made between accounts with the same primary member number or between accounts (cross member transfer) that have previously been set up by completing a SunWest Cross Member Transfer form. Refer to your account statement(s) or online banking to determine your account and loan numbers.
  9. If you enter an invalid menu choice, you will have three opportunities to enter a valid menu choice before being disconnected

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Limitations

To comply with federal regulations , we must limit the electronic transfers from your primary or secondary share account to 6 times per month. This includes the following transactions:

  1. Telephone transfers through the information center or through VAL.
  2. Overdraft protection transfers from your primary share account to cover a sharedraft or VISA transaction or pre-authorized withdrawal.

We will dishonor a transaction if there are insufficient funds, if a credit limit is exceeded, or if it would result in more than the allowable six (6) pre-authorized or telephone EFT savings transfers per month.

Security Recommendations

Your access code for VAL allows full information access to your SunWest account. Do not write this four to eight digit number anywhere that is not secure. No one but you has the record of this number. If you forget your access code, call our information center and we will reset your access code. Then you can easily change your code in VAL, to whatever number you choose.
