SCAM Warning - Text messages, emails and phone calls are currently targeting consumers in Arizona to obtain their credit/debit card information. The messages appear to be official and are pretending to be from various financial institutions in Arizona, including SunWest. SunWest does not contact our members via text messages, emails or the telephone and request you to verify your information.
If you are prompted either on your cell phone, your personal computer or other means of communication to respond, you may ultimately infect your electronic device and serve their purpose…to take your identity!! If you ever receive a message via any of the above methods – do not call the number or access that link. Forward that information to SunWest – at abuse@sunwestfcu.org . This will alert us of the fraudulent text/email and we will take the necessary actions to address it and protect YOU! If you did provide your information, contact our Member Information Center immediately at 602-866-1100 or 866-897-9378.
Another way to keep yourself protected from potential scammers – keep your computer’s operating system up to date with patches and security updates. Also, purchase and install internet security software, as this software can help protect your computer from viruses, spyware and other malicious software when you go online.
